Detailed description - Time delay relay ERV-08M (0.1 s - 100 h), Un: 12-230 V AC/DC

The ERV-08M time relay is a universal delay relay designed to control delayed switching on after power is turned on. It offers a wide time range from 0.1 seconds to 100 hours , universal 12-230 V AC/DC power supply, easy operation and DIN rail mounting.

Suitable for automation applications, controlling fans, motors, lighting, contactors and other devices requiring delayed start.

Controls and functions

LED display

• ON (red) - the relay is energized

• OUT (green, constantly lit) - the output relay is energized (2-3 contacts connected).

• OUT (green, flashing) - the switching countdown is in progress.

Time setting

The time relay allows you to create a precise delay using two potentiometers:

1. "t" potentiometer (0.1-10)
   - fine adjustment in % of the full range
   - 0.1 = 1%, 10 = 100%.

2. "TS" potentiometer - range selection:

   • A = 10 seconds

   • B = 100 seconds

   • C = 10 minutes

   • D = 100 minutes

   • E = 10 hours

   • F = 100 hours

The time change will be activated the next time it is switched on.

Switching function

1) ON Delay - delayed switch-on (2-3, NO terminal)

• When the power is turned on , the set time starts to count down.

• After the time has elapsed, the output relay (RLY ) is activated - contacts 2-3 (NO → COM) are switched on.

2) Switch-off delay via NC contact (terminal 2-1)

• Contact 2-1 (NC) is switched on even without power supply .

• When the power is turned on, the countdown starts

• After the time has elapsed, contacts 1-2 open .
