Digital overcurrent relay with LED display 3×3 digits TRM-50

The TRM-50 digital overload relay is designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing for operational monitoring.

Use and operating principle of the device

1. Connect the device according to the enclosed wiring diagram.
2. After completing the wiring, connect the power supply. After switching on, the display will show the set values ​​for 5 seconds.
3. Set the overload value with the "A>" control. The set value is shown on the left display.
4. Use the "t" control to set the delay time. The set value is also shown on the left display.

When turning on the device:

• The relay turns on, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
• If the current exceeds the set overload value (A>), the device counts down the delay time and the ERR indicator light lights up.
• When the time has elapsed, the relay is tripped, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator goes out.

The TRM-50 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically disconnect consumers when the maximum permissible current is exceeded. It has programmable trip range, trip time and reverse trip settings. There are 3 ways to return to the "operational" state - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTO, AUTO.

Reset methods

• Manual mode: To reset the device after an overload, press the Reset button. The corresponding LED will light up.
• Semi-automatic mode: Allows the device to automatically reset the system three times in the event of an overload, then wait for a manual reset on the next fault. The corresponding LED will be illuminated.
• Automatic mode: The device allows the system to automatically reset itself whenever an overload fault occurs. The corresponding LED will light up.

Note: To change the mode, press and hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. The corresponding LED will light up when the mode is changed.

Current asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the maximum and minimum currents of the phases exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds (prevents damage to the system in the event of a phase failure).

When an asymmetry error occurs:

• The display groups of the two phases causing the error will flash and the ERR display will be lit.
• A manual reset is required to exit the asymmetry fault mode.
