Digital overcurrent relay with 3×3 digit LED display TRM-100

Three-phase current control relay in the range of 40-100 A, manufactured by TENSE (Turkey)

TRM-100 digital overcurrent relays are designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while allowing for control of operation.

Use and operating principle of the device

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
2. When the wiring is complete, turn on the power. After turning on, the display will show the set values ​​for 5 seconds.
3. Use the "A>" control to set the overcurrent value. The set value is displayed on the left display.
4. Use the "t" control to set the delay time. The set value is also shown on the left display.

When turning on the device:
- The relay is activated, the output contact switches to terminal 3 and the OUT indicator light lights up.
- If the current exceeds the overcurrent setpoint (A>), the device starts to count down the delay time and the ERR indicator light lights up.
- After the time has elapsed, the relay turns off, the contact switches to terminal 1 and the OUT indicator light goes out.

Description

The TRM-100 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically disconnect devices when the maximum allowable current is exceeded.
Allows you to set the switching current, delay time and reclosing time.
Three programs are available to return to "working" mode: MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC and AUTOMATIC.

Reset methods:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the Reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Semi-automatic mode: The system automatically resets three times after an overcurrent protection fault, and then waits for a manual reset in the event of the next fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Automatic mode: The system automatically resets after every overcurrent protection fault. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.

Note: To change the mode, press and hold the SELECT button for 10 seconds. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED indicator will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the highest and lowest phase current exceeds 50%, the device enters asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds.
(This prevents damage to the system if one phase is lost while the motor is running.)

During an asymmetry error:
- The display groups of the two phases causing the error flash and the ERR indicator lights up.
- To exit error mode, the device must be manually reset.
